Biomolecular Simulation 2008 - the second annual meeting of the Collaborative Computational Project for Biomolecular Simulation (CCPB) - was held at Bristol Zoo, UK between the 7th and 9th January 2008. The focus of the meeting was on cutting-edge methods and applications, in particular high accuracy calculations of mechanisms and interactions, methodological developments, multi-level methods, and large-scale simulations.
Biomolecular Simulation 2008 is not just for experts in the field: the aim is to provide a forum where everyone interested in applying biomolecular simulation techniques to their work can get practical information to enhance their research. With the support of the BBSRC, the conference represents extremely good value for money, with generous subsidies particularly for UK-based academics and students.
The conference took place in the Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo, a superb venue with views out onto the zoo from the dining room. Complementary access to the zoo was allowed during the conference, and delegates viewed various species of primates, seals, penguins, lions and much more!
If you were not able to attend this meeting, copies of the abstract booklet can be requested from Chris Grindon or downloaded here.
