theme

The theme of the conference was 'Faster, Bigger, Better', with the aim of showcasing important advances in technology, theory, and methodology that are impacting on the power and significance of biomolecular simulation as a technique for addressing important biological problems.

Some examples of the types of developments we aimed to focus on are:

Faster: new hardware and algorithms that speed up calculations or analysis of data.

Bigger: studies on larger systems, where this makes them more biologically relevant.

Better: improvements to methodology for conducting or analysing simulations - making them more accurate, more insightful, better linked to experimental studies, etc.

But this list is not exhaustive! Submissions featuring exciting new studies related to biomolecular simulation of any type were very welcome.
